Pan Day: A Serial Poem (Part 6)

We went to the battle with an intent
To trade their traitor for ours
Phippsy Lemonwedge, a fairy before he went
To the pirate band, away from our bowers

Match Stick and Daisy Fly
Had grievances with he
And claimed they would be first to try
Their hand to strike with glee

We offered Hook a solem trade
The Goose for the Wedge, we said
When this proposition was laid
Before Hook, she put it to bed

The battlefield was lithely set
The groups picked out their camps
And while it was not always a safe bet
Two even groups got ready to clamp
